18th Annual Veterans Council Chili Cook Off


In early February, we had the pleasure of attending the 18th annual Veteran Council Chili cook off that was held at Texarkana Community College. This was our second year to participate in this event. Last year we were awarded 1st place in the chili cook off. This year we ended up placing 3rd.  We were very honored to still be ranked for our House Fire Chili.  We are so happy we got to be a part of this event and love celebrating our Veterans. Everyone did a fantastic job and the chili was wonderful!


What’s the money used for?


Funds from the event went to be used to purchase a new van to transport local veterans to the VA medical center in Shreveport, LA. and to the local VA clinic in Texarkana. The funds were also used to assist local veterans and their families. We love being able to support our local veterans. Thanks to everyone who came out and tried our chili! Come see us next year and try our great House Fire Chili.
